Spirit Food - January 2019

Once you are presented with what the Word of God has to say about an issue, you are responsible for receiving His love, grace, & favor; and the gift of His righteousness. Remember, you are greatly blessed, highly favored, and deeply loved by your Heavenly Father.

As we enter 2019, let us follow His guidance and have a plan, and let our plan encompass His plan for our life. In Jeremiah 29:11, it says, “For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.”

Habakkuk 2:2 (NRSV) – “Then the Lord answered me and said, ‘Write the vision, make it plain on tablets, so that a runner may read it’”

The Bible provides His Will regarding the greatest commandment in Matthew 22:36-40, “Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest? He said to him, “’You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

When we obey His love command, we allow His love to flow more freely through us, receiving The Blessing. God will set you high above all in Christ Jesus, as you are the righteousness of God in Christ! (Deuteronomy 28:1 aand 2 Corinthians 5:21) As children of the Most High God, we have been redeemed from the curse of the Old Covenant because of Jesus’ finished work on the cross, but the blessings in Deuteronomy 28:2-14 still apply!

GRACE is God’s unmerited and undeserved favor! I suppose it could be said: G = God’s, R = Riches, A = At, C= Christ’s, E = Expense. Mercy is Him not invoking the punishment we deserve because Jesus paid the price for all of mankind’s sin (past, present, and future) during the crucifixion process! Lamentations 3:22-23 says, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning, great is your faithfulness.”

The Bible informs us that faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by having the Word of God taught. When we find out what His Word has to say about an issue, believe it as the final authority, and then apply it in our life, we see positive results.

As we go into 2019 – let us remember who we are in Christ Jesus! Our plans for 2019 should include drawing closer to Him in our relationship with Him. To acknowledge and listen to the Holy Spirit within us and Obey what He is instructing us to do. God’s vision for you is to live a blessed life, having an intimate relationship with Himself – resting in Him and sharing His love, and the good news about His love to all you come in contact with.

If you’re reading this, but you have not made Jesus the Lord of your life, and would like to, pray this prayer out loud in an audible voice:

Heavenly Father, your Word says in Romans 10:9-10- “that if I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead, that I would be saved. For with the heart one believes unto salvation.” I believe your Word, Heavenly Father, and confess Jesus Christ (the anointed one and His anointing) as Lord of my life now. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess that I was a sinner, but now I’ve been saved by Your grace, and in Your thoughts, I am now in right standing with You. I denounce Satan and all he stands for. Write my name in the Lamb’s book of Life. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Congratulations! If this is your first time praying this prayer, please write and let us know!

Should you decide to give and financially support this ministry with gifts given in faith, I join my faith with yours to see the devourer rebuked (Malachi 3:11) and for you to receive a harvest; pressed down, shaken together and running over (Luke 6:38).

Your Brother In Christ,
