Spirit Food - November 2018

This month, let’s focus on the power of Jesus being in you!

John 10:10 - The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life (salvation … redemption, and all that it entails), and that they might have it more abundantly.

Though Jesus is completely God, He was born completely human, through the Virgin Mary by with the seed from the Holy Spirit. Because the seed for His conception was from the Holy Spirit, Jesus was born with untainted blood.

Understand that when Adam committed sin in the garden by eating from The Tree Of Knowledge of Good and Evil, his blooded became tainted with sin; as he disobeyed God. In disobeying God, Adam gave his position of authority over the earth to Satan.

Jesus went through temptation after temptation and conquered every one of them (Hebrews 4:15). All that overcoming power is found in His life; and when you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, He put that life in you—the life of Christ is in you!

During Jesus’ ministry on earth, He cast out demons, conquered sickness and disease, the winds and waves, and the powers of darkness and death. It is His life that brings victory over the devil and all his works. And again, when you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, He put that life in you—the life of Christ is in you!

Finally, Jesus went to the cross. He paid the price for all of mankinds sin (past, present, and future), by accepting, all of mankinds sin, by faith. Then, because Almighty God is a just God, He punished all that sin (which Jesus took on by faith), applying His Holy Wrath; and when God was done, Jesus was still alive. Once the price for mankinds sin had been paid for, Jesus stated “It Is Finished”. He was able to bow His head (entering a place of rest), and give up His Spirit. That price He paid, put an end to everything that was natural of the Adamic race—sickness, poverty, failures, pains, curses and death. All that was natural ceased to be in that life of His ... but all that was supernatural remained in Him. And again, when you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, He put that life in you—the life of Christ is in you!

Then, Jesus rose from the dead, and in that life of His, was added the power of resurrection. And again, when you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, He put that life in you—the life of Christ is in you!

After His resurrection, Jesus went back to heaven to His Father. Today, He is seated at the right hand of God, resting in His finished work, occupying a place of the highest authority. When you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you were seated with Him. Yes, you are still on this earth as part of His body, for the purpose of sharing what He has accomplished for mankind; enabling them to choose life or death for themselves. However, because you have made the quality decision to make Jesus the Lord of your life, you are empowered by Him to accomplish His Will here, on this earth. We are joint heirs with Jesus!

Because Jesus went back to the Father, the Holy Spirit came to live inside of you (John 16:7), enabling you to live life with His anointing in you, and walk in His overcoming power.

All that Jesus is, Our Heavenly Father meant for you to be. All that He has, Our Heavenly Father meant for you to have. All the exciting things that you read in the Bible about Jesus, all the treasures of Him hidden in the Old Testament and the unsearchable riches in Him that you find in the New Testament are available to you! All of that life most people think of as His, is not just out there somewhere. Our Heavenly Father has made it available in you, so that you can live the abundant life that Jesus came to give you!

Look at Deuteronomy 28:1-14 – And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.

3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.

6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

7 The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.

8 The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

9 The Lord shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways.

10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the Lord; and they shall be afraid of thee.

11 And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord swore unto thy fathers to give thee.

12 The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

13 And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

When you pray, you’re not praying for victory, you’re praying from victory!

Don’t forget who you are …

1 Corinthians 12:27 – I am a member of Christ's body. Ephesians 1:3-8 – I have been chosen by God and adopted as His child. Colossians 1:13-14 - I have been redeemed and forgiven of all my sins. Colossians 2:9-10 – I am complete in Christ.

Ecclesiastes 9:9-10 – Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun. Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

In other words … once you depart from this earth, your ability to share the good news about what Jesus did on the cross for mankind with other human beings is over. Whatever vocation you chose, you interface with other people, in one way or another; share, while you are able!

Oh people … mankind is so blessed … if they would only realize it!

Romans 5:1 – Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are not trying to get peace with God. We already have peace with God, having been justified by faith through our Lord Jesus Christ. This peace with God brings us the peace of God, which guards our hearts and minds (Philippians 4:7). Then, the peace of God inside us will also translate into the peace of God outside us—in all our outward circumstances.

Firstly, we will find that what would normally cause us much care and anxiety will no longer be the case. Secondly, not only will everything turn out well, but we will also be blessed in more ways than one. This is what happens when Jesus, the Prince of Peace, is our peace.

Because Jesus is your peace, you are blessed in more ways than one. Your soul will prosper. Your health will prosper. Your finances will prosper. Your loved ones will be taken care of. Your relationships will flourish. You will enjoy the favor of God. All because you have the Prince of Peace!

If you’re reading this, but you have not made Jesus the Lord of your life, and would like to, pray this prayer out loud in an audible voice:

Heavenly Father, your Word says in Romans 10:9-10- “that if I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in my heart that and believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead, that I would be saved. For with the heart one believes unto salvation.” I believe your Word Heavenly Father and confess Jesus Christ (the anointed one and His anointing) as Lord of my life now. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess that I was a sinner, but now I’ve been saved by Your grace, and in Your thoughts, I am now in right standing with You. I denounce Satan and all he stands for. Write my name in the Lamb’s book of Life. In Jesus Name. Amen (so be it).

Congratulations! If this is your first time praying this prayer, please write and let us know!

Should you decide to give and financially support this ministry with gifts given in faith, I join my faith with yours to see the devoured rebuked (Malachi 3:11) and for you to receive a harvest; pressed down, shaken together and running over (Luke 6:38).
