Spirit Food - May 2018

Once you are presented with what the Word of God has to say about an issue, you are responsible for receiving His love, grace, & favor; and the gift of His righteousness. Remember, you are greatly blessed, highly favored, and deeply loved by your Heavenly Father.

This May, let’s focus on what it means to be established in God’s righteousness!

Have you ever asked yourself why some Christians are constantly beset with overwhelming challenges, sicknesses, and defeat if God’s promise, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17), is true?

Well, first you have to have knowledge of this promise. Having to have the knowledge of it makes it conditional. Unfortunately, many Christians are unaware of their rights and privileges as a Son or Daughter of the Most High God and Joint Heir with Jesus — The Bible says – “In righteousness you shall be established”. (Isaiah 54:14) When you are established in righteousness, you will be far from oppression and terror, and not a single weapon formed against you will prosper! (Isaiah 54:17) It does not say that you won’t have “trials and temptations” in life, it just says that none of them will prosper. You are able to handle temptations the same way that Jesus did; by saying “It is written”, “It is written”, “It is written”. (Matthew 4:4, 7, &10) However, you need to know where it is written to be able to do that. This requires you to invest the time and find out. Our Heavenly Father loves you so much, and desires you to be so blessed in this life. So blessed, that you can be a blessing to others! Remember, we were raised with Jesus and sit with Him in heavenly places spiritually speaking. We currently live on this earth, but as we are seated with Him in heavenly places, we pray from victory, not for victory.

This condition is not hard to meet. If you have already made Jesus the Lord of your life, you have already been made the righteousness of God because of Jesus’ finished work on the cross! When you received Jesus as your Savior, you received the gift of righteousness which enables you to reign in life. (Romans 5:17) This righteousness does not come from you (by your works) but from the Lord. (Isaiah 54:17) When you are established in His righteousness, no weapon formed against you will prosper.

Being established in righteousness means that you are in “right standing” with Almighty God! Being in “right standing” with Him is your very foundation for security in everlasting life! So God wants you to know, to be sure of, and to grow in this revelation; that you are righteous by the blood of Jesus, by His perfect sacrifice at the cross.

When you feel as if you are in a “storm”, you may have a tendency to begin to experience worry and fear. Remind yourself of who you are in Christ (Our Redeemer from God’s punishment and wrath). You are the righteousness of God in Christ and you have His beloved child status!

As you do this, you will begin to notice the worry and fear dissipate, and leave you. When you are established in righteousness, “you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you”! (Psalm 91) This is why God wants you to be established in righteousness. He wants you to be free from fear, and far from oppression and terror.

So when the pressure is on, hold fast to the belief that you are the righteousness of God in Christ. Right believing is where no weapon formed against you can prosper. Jeremiah 29:11 says “For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.” As you keep believing and confessing your righteousness in Christ, revelation on “issues” will break forth and you will experience His wisdom, the release of God’s miraculous provision, divine protection and blessings into your life! I encourage you to read His Word and meditate on it.

If you’re reading this, but you have not made Jesus the Lord of your life, and would like to, pray this prayer out loud in an audible voice:

Heavenly Father, your Word says in Romans 10:9-10- “that if I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in my heart that and believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead, that I would be saved. For with the heart one believes unto salvation.” I believe your Word Heavenly Father and confess Jesus Christ (the anointed one and His anointing) as Lord of my life now. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess that I was a sinner, but now I’ve been saved by Your grace, and in Your thoughts, I am now in right standing with You. I denounce Satan and all he stands for. Write my name in the Lamb’s book of Life. In Jesus Name. Amen (so be it).

Congratulations! If this is your first time praying this prayer, please write and let us know!

Should you decide to give and financially support this ministry with gifts given in faith, I join my faith with yours to see the devourer rebuked (Malachi 3:11) and for you to receive a harvest; pressed down, shaken together and running over (Luke 6:38).
